Rose defeated Esparza by a technical knockout within just under 3 minutes Round One. Rose not only took home the title but she was also awarded Fighter Of The Night. Rose has also created MMA historical with her fight because she became the first woman to compete in a title fight within any organization of note. Namajunas had a number of wins following the fight, and she was awarded Performance Of The Night by UFC in her fights against Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
